Injectables & Dermal Fillers

Training Courses for
Nurses & Midwives

Would you like to put years of training and hard work into an industry where you could more than double your current income? If the answer is yes, then read on to discover how we can help you train and work in an industry worth over $2,716 million in Europe and is crying out for trained Aesthetic professionals.

Nurses and midwives are some of the hardest-working professionals in Sweden. Both work tirelessly, often through long and unsociable hours. Although many love their roles, many also want better job security, flexibility and better standards of pay and recognition for their efforts.

Our mission is to help nursing and midwifery professionals across Sweden achieve many of the things they are missing in their current job roles.

If you want to work in an environment where you are properly rewarded for your skills, efforts and knowledge, we believe the Medical Aesthetics Industry is the best opportunity for any Swedish nurse or midwife.

This is the only business where nurses and midwives can earn high profitability with minimal start-up capital if they receive the correct training and advice.

At Derma Medical, we specialise in Injectables & Dermal Fillers Training Courses for Nurses & Midwives. We will give you everything you need to get started in our award-winning Derma Medical Masterclass. All our courses have been designed to meet the latest HEE Guidelines and GMC Guidance to ensure practitioners are ahead of regulation.

After our course, you can get cosmetic indemnity insurance through our course sponsors, Hamilton Fraser or Cosmetic Insure and start practising immediately.

Why Nurses & Midwives Should
Train in Aesthetics

1) Higher Income

It’s well-known the private sector pays well. Income from aesthetic practice can far exceed that of the Swedish healthcare system with significantly less time investment. Hour-for-hour as an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner (either self-employed or working for a clinic), you can expect to earn far more than you would as a Nurse/Midwife. Due to the nature of this growing industry, it is genuinely possible to (more than) double your current salary by administering cosmetic injectable treatments on a regular basis.

Many of our trainees have gone on to open their very own successful practices, and several have left their hospital jobs in the process! As mentioned above, this is the only business where nurses and midwives can earn high profitability with minimal start-up capital. The increased income generated in Aesthetics has allowed many nurses and midwives to reduce working hours, free-up more time and pay back several large debts earlier.

2) Better Quality of Life

In this industry, nurses and midwives have full control of their own work/life balance. The flexibility of this career enables those to choose when and how often they would like to work (and earn). Many of the nurses and midwives we have trained have reported enjoying a much better quality of life- working more sociable hours with happier, more satisfied patients. In comparison to their hospital jobs, many have also highlighted the increased job satisfaction that results from having more autonomy in decision-making in a less pressured environment.

3) Develop New Clinical Skills

Nurses are very well suited to this field because they have good transferable skills. Many nurses and midwives are already practically trained in minor procedures- such as venepuncture and cannulation. They are also very experienced at drawing up and administering injections frequently, as well as following hygiene protocols- all pertinent skills when dealing with cosmetic injectables. Injectables and Dermal filler injectables are simple extensions of these minimally invasive procedures. Although mainly cosmetic, some injectables can be used for medical use such as treatments of hyperhidrosis and bruxism. Many nurses and midwives that we have trained report it as a great addition to their already vast CV of clinical skills, and with newer minimally-invasive cosmetic procedures being discovered, now is a great time to be investing in these acquired skills.

4) Keeping Options Open

We have seen many nurses and midwives frustrated with the current state of the Swedish healthcare system, in particular, lack of autonomy, reduced time allocated to patient care, too many targets and deadlines to meet and too high a demand on services to meet for service providers available. Despite this, however, more and more nurses and midwives feel the need to do more shifts to make ends meet.

At Derma Medical, we have helped many nurses and midwives seek alternative, medical-related routes of employment while still utilising their skills. For those already in the Swedish healthcare system, aesthetic work can be taken-on alongside their existing job. Several of our trainees undertake private aesthetic work at weekends, evenings or annual leave, which is very easy to do, and far more lucrative and enjoyable than a long bank shift. For other nurses and midwives seeking to leave their post, aesthetics offers an alternative option for work. In summary, after completion of training, delegates have the ability and freedom to open their own cosmetic company or work for an existing one whilst still practising.

5) Shifting Trends

Current changes in the Swedish healthcare system have seen many services directed into the private sector. Amongst these are the popular axillary hyperhidrosis treatments for excessive sweating or the well-known obagi prescription-strength programmes for acne scarring and pigmentation. Some of our trainees have worked in the Swedish healthcare system and due to financial cuts (seen as luxuries vs necessities) have had to refer many patients elsewhere for private treatments. Why not be the one offering these highly requested treatments instead of referring them to someone else?

Nurses and Midwives – What Next?

As the Medical Aesthetics industry continues to grow year on year, demand for high-quality aesthetic treatments administered by highly skilled nurses and midwives is crucial if we are to ensure the highest standards in medical cosmetics are met.

If you would like to discuss how a single weekend invested in training with Derma Medical could transform your current circumstances and help you enjoy Greater Wealth, Job Satisfaction and a Better Work/Life balance we would love the opportunity to show you.
